Mr Laws is the author of this site "VeinsNz" and a director of Christchurch Vascular Group (CVG). He is contracted by Canterbury District Health Board to provide vascular surgery including the assessment and treatment of varicose veins in Christchurch and across Canterbury, with support services to South Canterbury district and the West Coast. As a Specialist in Vascular Surgery and part of a much larger team he is able to offer local care to you and your patients with the benefits and support of a larger tertiary, teaching hospital. Mr Laws has over 12 years of national and international experience in minimally invasive endovenous techniques including, Laser, VNUS (Venefit) Closure and ultrasound guided foam sclerotherapy. He has presented his experience at national and international meetings and with help from the canterbury initiative is in the process of developing a streamlined patient centered approach to venous surgery. Peter is Currently the New Zealand proctor (lead advisor) for VNUS (Venefit) and has performed live cases at the RACS vascular trainees week 2013 and more recently presented and demonstrated at the Australia and New Zealand Society of Phlebology Master Class 2014. He has presented at the ANZSVS in Canbera Australia 2014, At the UIP meeting in Seoul Korea 2015 and will be presenting in Perth at the ANZSVS 2017.
